AGDの新作は北欧スウェーデンはストックホルムからの気鋭のElectroアーティストKretz！僕がはじめてKretzの曲を聴いた時は2012年に出た116曲入りのフリーElectroアルバム「The Electro Compendium」が初めてだったと思います(落としてない人は聴こう)。KretzのDiscogsとか見る限り活動開始も2012年あたりっぽいで、僕の中では割と新しい感じで、且つ出るリリースほぼ全て買っている感じの大好きなアーティストです。PlonkやENCRYPTEDなどのレーベルから主に曲を出してますね。チップチューンっぽい曲や、remix陣がいわゆるElectroの人だけじゃなかったりして面白いです。ちなみにテクノ好きな人は知ってるかもしれませんが、過去にkagamiがremixしたスウェーデンのHåkan Lidboなんかもkretzの「Gemeinschafts Informationen」でremixやってます。特徴的なのは2拍4拍あたりから入れる独特なヴォコーダーとミニマルでグイグイ攻める感じのElectro。去年出た「Computer process 」や「I Dream Of Electric Sheep」とかが顕著ですが、聴いていてSF感がひしひしと感じられる曲が多くて好きです。本作もそんなKretzの魅力満載のEP、いやー、日本のレーベルからこの人のリリースがあるとは思わなかった！AGD良い仕事しますね！You are Supreme!

DJヘルが主宰するGIGOLOから90年代後半～2000年代前半くらいにかけてリリースされていたエレクトロ群が好きだった僕にこの「Kretz - Supreme」ドンピシャだった。特にAE35リミックスが白眉！

Dark tunes from high up north with Kretz and the latest Anti Gravity Device release “Supreme”. The title track is a slow, dark electro track with haunting synth hooks and powerfully crafted beats, shaped around vocoded vocals that are scary and compelling. With the Maschine Brennt remix, the track moves into a dark, abandoned factory, making the sounds even more sinister and industrial; a perfect cold fusion of dark and industrial electro sounds, this remix brings out the savageness in the track. Label boss AE35 stamps his own frantic electro style on the track, resulting in a fast, brutal track with unsettlingly detuned vocals and a subtle acidic bassline. ADG015 is among the best of the label, something not said lightly, with many quality releases already on there, and the Kretz-Maschine Brennt-AE35 combination proves a supreme trinity.

Author of two albums "Gemeinschafts Informationen" and "Alles Ist Binär", plus a dozen of EPs on labels such as PLONK, Urkraft or Encrypted since 2012, Kretz invests into the Japanese Electro label Anti Gravity Device lead by AE35.

Coming from the Amiga and Commodore scene, the Swedish artist also known as Anode or Rex 42 signs on dancefloor "Supreme EP", a groovy Electro tune based upon analog touches, and an intricate vocoder à la Kraftwerk scanding "We Are Supreme", with synthetic strings and a solid 808 line. Perfect in a set to make your transition into harder tracks!

The digital pack comes with two brilliant reworks of "Supreme" by Maschine Brennt (PLONK) and AGD's head honcho AE35.

The first version from Joacim Thenander features sinister tonalities over a grime rhythm, while the second remix by Yosuke Ikeda, my favorite, turns the original into a weird experimental song tinted with Acid to bring us closer to some of Boris Divider's early works.

Don't sleep on this one as it seems like AGD is going back to its roots, serving up here one of the most Electro releases (in its purist form) from its catalog.
