Dark, scientific sounds from Cleveland Based producer Resting Cell.

1. The first track is a perfect intro to his experiments, ambient calculated sound with fantastic vocoder use. A great opener

2. Track two is a pure heavy hitting steamroller with deadly analog bass stabs and tough as hell percussion. The ominous syncopated lead goes right in line with the gloomy theme achieved here. Love it!

3. The third track showcases what I know Resting Cell best for, his acidic industrial sound. Resonating basslines with no mercy. The tune begins with a dark acid line and evolves into dreamy sci-fi pads that remind me of 2153.

4. The fourth track has to be the album highlight for me! Dark bass at breakneck speeds. Love the raw sound of this beast! Style reminiscent of Jodey Kendrick’s Black Narcissus installment, not to be overlooked!

5. The fifth and final track is lovely from the start. Deep beats paired with lovely synth chatter - the elements of the lovely Roland TR-606 are clear. A fantastic close to this killer release from my good friend Resting Cell!

A new, fresh, high-paced electro release from the onslaught of AE35´s Anti Gravity Device machine, “Hypothalamic Replacement” is the latest EP by American producer Resting Cell. Brooding “Frictional Collapse” opens the release, setting a heavy, dark and expectant atmosphere, which finds its immediate response in the fast, vocal-heavy and energetic title track “Hypothalamic Replacement”.
The melodic “Lambda 5” gives us an acid infused electro-techno vibe, loaded with synthpads, before Resting Cell returns for another attack on our synapses with fast paced and exquisitely basslined “Swirling Escape”, already an ELEKTRODOS favourite! The EP finds a round and rotund finish in “Ion Resistance”, providing a full closure to an excellent release with its retrofuturistic synthesizer sounds.

Now, my body is tingling for the first time in a long time, feels it's silently but I am certainly touching music that I feel hot blood.

While listening to Resting Cell's 「Hypothalamic Replacement」 from Anti Gravity Device, It just reminds me when I was middle-high teen, And what I felt about night clubs.
Simply dark,the feeling of completely submerged by sounds.
Into the dim room with a number of unspecified people, Although overreach myself and got scared,
Feeling like devoted myself for massive wind of speakers.

「Hypothalamic Replacement」don't sound like an artificial porn star
(that was turned into a monster in breast augmentation surgery) plays for one-night, but unbroken valor electro.

今、僕は久し振りに体がヒリヒリするような、静かだが、確かに熱い血潮を感じる音楽に触れている。

Anti Gravity Deviceから（AGD）リリースされるResting Cellの「Hypothalamic Replacement」を聴きながら、ふと自分が若い時に見たクラブや音楽を思い出した。
ダークで、音に没頭していく感覚。
薄暗い中を不特定多数の"何をしているか分からない"ような大人達に囲まれながら、背伸びをして入り込んだ、少しビビりながらスピーカーから出る強風に体を委ねていた感覚。

「Hypothalamic Replacement」で鳴らされている音楽は、、
豊胸出術で化け物と化した人造ポルノスターが、一夜だけ鳴らす陳腐な音楽ではなく、脈々と流れる、ストイックな"漢"気あるエレクトロだ。
Resting Cellは、SwishcothequeやBody Control Records、そして自ら主催するVirtual Urban Recordsで、ヘリテージとも言えるその"漢"気感覚を継承している、信頼出来る男である。

「Hypothalamic Replacement」はFrictional Collapseで静かに細胞を起こし、Hypothalamic Replacementで加速度的にダンサーの細胞をハックし、そしてLambda 5、Swirling Escapeで完全に体と脳をジャックする。
その後に、Ion Resistanceで軽いチルが待っている。面白いし、恐い作品だ（笑）。

もし、僕が銀河を舞台としたダークなSFクライムムービーをディレクションすることがあったなら、是非サウンドトラックとしてこの作品を使いたいと思うような出来だ。

Author of an already prolific discography on structures such like Body Control Records, Recycled Plastics, and his own Virtual Urban Records, this insane artist has been in the music business for more than five years now.

Distilling an over-boosted sound with influences ranging from IDM and Acid genres, the Anti Gravity Device new signature delivers today a hot five tracker E.P.; one of his best releases, full of Doom, dark and Sci-Fi tones.

In overture of the digital pack, beatless "Frictional Collapse" offers an intricate construction with lazy piano melodies and interferences. Disturbing "Hypothalamic Replacement" instantly following, signs a wonderful cut where scientist lyrics from an obscure laboratory combine with an ultra speed rhythm. Scary!

Climax of the E.P., urban "Lambda 5" comes next with acidic loops over deep modular distortions making you feel like crossing an inhabited yet insecure megapolis at night.

Energizing "Swirling Escape" serves up some toxic drums with Detroitish touches a la Godfather, while as a conclusion, downtempo "Ion Resistance" ends the release with experimental and funky waves, to bring you closer to the Warp catalog.

Collection of syncopated beauties, "Hypothalamic Replacement" provides lots of emotions: synths, effects and rhythm machines serving up great feelings and melodies throughout. Not the kind of Electro(nic) music we are used to discovering and appreciating everyday. I'm 100% addicted!
